please help me with this. Just happened to my friend and wanted to check if this is the correct advise given by her hospital, or should she just turn up and make a fuss.
She is at home very worried and I am at work and can't search this up myself on internet while in the office.

hi there i had bleeding at 11 weeks and rang my GP who saw me straight away and referred me to the early pregnancy unit at my local hospital who scanned me. If it was me i would make a fuss!!!! Good luck with it - I hope she is ok.

resting certainly is a good idea, but she should also be booked into epu for a scan... i think most take up t 14 weeks!

How frightening for her. Has she had a scan? She really does need one. I'm not sure whether bed rest per se can help the outcome at 13 weeks (it won't in the first trimester). I would, in her position, be turning up and making an almighty fuss.
Is she having cramps? Painless second-trimester bleeding should be checked out for vasa praevia.

she should def get scanned make a fuss. bleeding in pg is v common but should ALWAYS be taken seriously
