Chemical pregnancy - Help!

I have two sons aged 3 and 6.
I've had a m/c in April last year, a missed m/c in August last year and today have been diagnosed eith a chemical pg (had been having hcg tests as I have to inject with Clexane to reduce the risk of m/c ironically).
Still in shock, so don't know if we will TTC.
I don't really know what I want to know, but can anyone give me hope/advice/ information so we can make a balanced decision when we get our heads straight.
EPU have been very good and have said that out of my 3 m/cs this one was really "one of those things and wouldn't have got as far as a baby". Whereas I know that the 2nd m/c was a result of my body "doing" something to the baby.

i'm sorry is there things the doctor can do? i'm not really clued up even though i had m/c in '94. perhaps when you have rested a bit the docs can do some test to find oput what's going on?

A chemical pg is really just one of those things! Something didn't go right at the point of conception. My other m/cs, especially the second one where I saw a heartbeat on a scan at 8 weeks could be due to clotting probs. This one really is just a cruel freak of nature!

No and I've got two boys that I had before my m/cs, with 2 really easy pgs!

Hi jossiejump, so sorry you are going through this. A good friend of mine,unfortunately, also had three miscarriages, but ironically it was only after this point that they referred her to be seen by a specialist who identified the problem she was having and subscribed (I forget what it was) something for her to take during the first three months. She felt very blessed to carry her fourth pg to full term and now has a lovely 2.5yo dd

What I'm trying to say is, even though you had two successful pg's, this shouldn't deny you the access to a specialist to investigate further what exactly is going on and to see if they can help you sustain another pg.

It is such a hard decision to ttc in the first place, let alone to then m/c (I m/c'd my first pg, but since had two successful and am now pg again (very early still and very anxious still!). I dearly hope things work out for you and if you decide to go down that route, that you get the help you want/need. hugs

Thankyou 33RB-I'm lucky that I was in an employment medical scheme, which have already funded my investigations, the cruel irony is that this pregnancy wasn't going to wotk even with the blood thinning injections that I now have to take-It is sad that I had 2 "real"m/cs, found the possible reason why, then nature decided to not give the possible remedy a chance by the egg fertilising properly, but then not implanting properly, probably due to some massive genetic error.

Ah, I'm sorry I misunderstood. Yes, a cruel twist of nature. It's so draining isn't it, emotionally and physically. I guess there's a limit for everyone and only you two will know what that is. Whatever you decide you have been very strong to go through what you have. I admire your strength. xx
