Has anyone else had awful nightmares

Can someone tell me if this is normal.
My Dd1 died nearly 5mths ago. She died suddenly, alone in upsetting circumstances. Over the last couple of week's I've being having horrible really vivid dreams about her. Last night it was so bad I woke Dd2 up with my screaming and thrashing about she's 3mths and still in our room.

I'm so tired but I'm dreading going to bed tonight. Has anybody else suffered from this? I feel as if I'm going mad.

Yes. I am suffering from this at the moment but my circumstances are nowhere as distressing as yours.

So so sorry for your loss Coco. We lost both my maternal GPs within a week of each other a few weeks ago and my DM is experiencing exactly same as you so I assume it's completely normal as your brain tries to process the loss. No real advice but if it doesn't settle down I'd visit GP as lack of sleep is bound to make grieving even harder than it already is.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm not surprised you are having troubled sleep and nightmares. Also if i read your OP correctly your dd2 was born very soon after. You sound to me like a perfectly normal person processing a very distressing ordeal all the time being mum to a newborn. I wish i had more useful words.

Yes my dd2 died 4 years ago she was 17 months and died from meningitis. It is very usual to have nightmares.
Look after yourself

Yes. It's been nearly 4 years since DD1 died. I had a couple of very, very bad nightmares a few months after she died.

We lost dd2 before she was born. I had a tfmr. For months I had nightmares/hallucinations where I saw her at the end of my bed as a child rather than a baby telling me I didn't need to be scared of her.

I've not had a nightmare for months now. It's been a year since we lost her.

ifcatscouldtalk you did read correctly she died when I was 7mths pregnant there was 23years between them.
