My daughters birthday is coming up soon. I can't get to her. What can I do?

My daughters birthday is coming up soon, can't believe my little cheeky faced girl is coming up for 9, the years have been both quick and eternal.

I usually go to the baby garden that her brother and her are scattered in on their birthdays and anniversaries, this year I can't, in fact, I probably can't ever again

I need to do something. I need something special to do on their days.

Does anyone have any lovely ideas?

Can you plant a little rosebush in the garden for them?

Or put a single rose/bunch of flowers next to a photograph and light a candle?
I do the latter on anniversaries of loved ones when i cant attend their burial/ashes places.

Op remember you daughter is in your heart for ever. She isn't " in " the garden where her ashes were scattered- she is with you wherever you are. That physical place isn't as important as all that really. If you can't go there, you can't.
Make time and space to remember her in a new way ludoole has some lovely suggestions.

Thank you for the lovely ideas, I would love to plant a rosebush, I'm a bit scared as I'm not very green fingered and I would be devastated if I wrecked it.

The place isn't important really, you are right, that's why I chose to get them cremated and scattered. I don't think I could have handled them having graves.

Could you go for a walk to somewhere you feel connected to them? Or somewhere you think they would like? Or just somewhere quiet and peaceful where you can dedicate some time to think about your children and nothing else? Have time to cry, time to smile at the memories? Just time for you to be close to them.
