Yukky m/c question - what does the sac look like?

I'm about 7 weeks pg and have had bleeding since yesterday. This afternoon, I have passed a jelly-like globule about 1cm or so across which I am thinking might be a sac. Any thoughts?

have u had any pain with it?

Not really. Very, very slight aching, but nothing much at all. The globule didn't look like it had anything in it, but I don't know that you'd see much at 7 weeks anyway...

I'm not sure how much 'help' i can be tbh. I lost all my "stuff" gradually at first and then a lot all at once but what i think was the sac was largeish and grey like a wobbly bubble.(i had missed m/c at 10 weeks, baby was 6 weeks)

oh and i had had lots of contraction tyoe pains before i lost the majority.

EPU can't see me for a scan until Tuesday, so I've got to get through the weekend. It isn't the same as last time, but I think that was much later. Was feeling happier because someone said they had bleeding for about 4 weeks, but I just can't think what else a jelly-like globule would be in amongst the blood. Likewise sorry if tmi. I guess there's no easy answer and at least I haven't had much in the way of contraction-like pain. Maybe it will be okay. I guess I just have to see what happens on Tuesday. Thanks for trying to help anyway.

what colour was it? mine looked like a smooth cherry (with a cord attached)

gosh don't worry about the TMI. try to stay positive if you can - I have had lots of bleeding and pain in all my pregnancies, including the ones which went to term.

mumpbump, what colour is it. Can you see any kind of substance inside it and have you passed any 'meaty' type substance. Also did you save it ?Sorry to sound so krass but work in A&E and have seen a few.

The globule was clear and colourless with no cord or anything, but it looked like it might have a few tiny veins in one area. It wasn't as mucus-y as mucus and when I moved the tissue paper around, it didn't stick to it, so it was like it was contained. I have held onto it (horrid I know), but not sure what to do with it.

I didn't think A&E would do a scan - kind of assumed it was the EPU or nothing. Do you think it's worth going and asking?

you might want to give NHS direct a call.. i did when had a suspected ectopic...they sent me straight to a&e , esp. if you think you might have passed the sac...you should keep it and take it to a&e , if you are advised to go. do you ahve any pain or fresh bleeding at the mo?

I am so sorry you are going through this. i agree with lulu, make a fuss about it. i had bleeding from 6-15 weeks with ds and hes fine. with all 3 mc i had contractions and clots which hurt to pass

it is a long wait until tuesday to find out what is what. if you are having a miscarriage, then at least you will now ., rather than being in limbo for 3 days....

when i called nhs with ds bleed doc on other end (a man) told me to calm down if i mc itll happen. i just asked how many times hes been pg. Go to a&e. once youre there they cant turn you away

I have just had a chat with dh and agreed that I will go to A&E. I agree that 4 days of not knowing what is happening (especially over the weekend with less distractions) will do my head in. Thanks for your support on this. I will let you know the outcome...

yes, being in limbo is grim. let us know how it goes, we are thinking of you.
holding onto it isn't in the least bit grim imo. On the occasions when I have seen and held my sac, I have also buried it. nothing to be afraid of or ashamed of imo.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts. I went to A&E and passed the placenta whilst I was there so no doubt that it is gone Anyway, as lulumama says, better to know for certain than live in doubt for a while... At least, as my doctor said, I seem to get pg at the drop of a hat, so hopefully the next one will stick. Thank you once more - it was so nice to come back, feeling rotten, and see all the positive vibes...
