children have lost last remaining grandparent

So my parents and my mil died many years ago. Fil died last month and suddenly my dc have no grandparents. Feelso sad for them. Possibly more sad for them than dh. Just wondering how yovu make up for this gap in their lives.

How sad. I had a grandparent until my late 30s. I miss them all dearly and have some lovely childhood memories of them so I can see why you are sad for your DC.
Maybe you have a lonely neighbour who you could all befriend?
Is there a scheme local to you like this?

My children (3 and 1) are about to know their only remaining grandparent too. I feel so sorry for them too. Such a gap in their lives. You just have to make the most of other family I think, cousins, second cousins ana so on x
