Would you like to help set up a new SANDS (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society) support group in the Islington/Hackney/Waltham Forest area (maybe beyond)?
We're three mums who have just completed the befriender training programme and are keen to establish a much-needed local group.
Please do get in touch if you'd like to get involved.

What a brilliant idea.
There is absolutely no support for bereaved parents in my area(Winchester, Hampshire).
Since losing my 19 month old Dd the only support i get is from the Compassionate friends internet chatrooms!!
Maybe one day i will start up my own supoort group at least then future parents who lose children aren't left to cope alone like i have.

Hope all goes well with the group.

I'm so very, very sorry to hear about your DD, Amyjade.

If you do ever decide to set up a support group I'm sure that SANDS would be happy to give some suggestions on how to go about it.

Thinking of you.

Hi Attery,

I live nearby so kep me posted on the group. It'd be good to have a mix group. I feel my husband needs as much support as I do but it's quite difficult for men to express themselves. It might help seeing other dads struggling.

We will be meeting in Clicia, Stoke Newington Church Street, London N16, at 7pm on Thursday 9 November to discuss setting up a SANDS group for north/north east London. If you are interested in helping to get the group going, please do join us.
