My dad is dying, 2 weeks after grandpa died - how to tell kids

Especially my eldest, 14 yr old dd took the death of her 89 yr old grandpa so badly, the funeral was only a week ago and now my 63 year old has suddenly gone downhill and looks like we're nearing the end of a 3 year battle with bowel cancer - liver lung and bone mets.

He lives over an hour away and I'm going to be with him tomorrow but not sure how much to tell the kids? If I decide not to how can I disguise my upset etc

Thanks

only you will know how much to tell your kids op

but IME kids are pretty resiliant

my ds1 has been to 4 funerals in his short life, it breaks my heart, but kids seem to be quite straightforward about things

ds2 broke his heart at my mums funeral

I'm sorry, I know you want specific advise in there difficult times, but I'd only say go with your heart and be as honest with your kids as you can
