PLEASE help me by retweeting my request for my dying Dad

As the title suggests. I'm trying to do something amazing for my lovely Dad

He is dying from a hideous and rare disease. Multiple System Atrophy. He has been in hospital for 5 weeks now whilst I have been fighting on his behalf for NHS continuing healthcare funding. His delayed discharge simply down to WHO was paying for his care. Never mind the fact this amazing man is terminally ill and shouldn't be on a busy ward in a threatened environment with violent patients frequently being allowed to 'visit' his bedside.

We honestly don't know how long he has left because sudden death events occur in end stage MSA

He has supported QPR his entire life and I am determined to get as many supporters as possible to chant "THERE's ONLY ONE ALFIE PRESTON"

Please please please help me. Monday evening could very possibly be the last match my amazing lovely 66 year old Dad will ever see. He has no idea about this because I would HATE to disappoint him.

Please please help me achieve this mostly unachievable feat!!

can't help you with the QPR issue but new guidance is that discharge shouldn't ever be delayed because of funding issues between SS and Health. 5 weeks is disgraceful.

Also if your dad is that unwell then you should be asking for his CHC application to be a 'fastrack' which means it isn't even up for discussion with social services - no MDT or anything.

I've known people in hospice get chc funding by ringing them up directly and being very forceful! Fast tracking can be done within days. Good luck

I've just had a look at teh QPR website and I can't see how to contact them but the club has a twitter page. Can you tweet at them? (don't do twitter so not totally sure how it works)

On the QPR front, why dont you contact their media team via facebook as a starting point? They are online now (last post was only a few minutes ago). Link here

I'm clueless - are there any famous qpr fans you could tweet to make the re tweet effect bigger?

If a clinician (usually a doctor) confirms that someone appears to be in the last stages of life, they can use the Fast Track Pathway to secure CHC funding, which allow your dad to be cared for in a care home, with fees paid for by the NHS. It SHOULD be the case that requesting this Fast Track (if appropriate) will mean that things are actioned within 48 hours. This does not always happen. You may have to argue the case with the CCG but do persist ...
