How long does it take to have HCG in urine?

I had a mc in May and we are trying to concieve? I have had spotting in between periods and then normal periods so it is hard to say when my last period was. I did a ptest today and it was totally negative. Not even the faintest line. Any chance i could be pregnant or is it just wishful thinking. I have a 2.5 year old and i get asked at least 2wice a day when i am going to have another one. I wish people wouldn't ask you that!

Hi copperfieldcanary - depends on when your last 'proper period' was. Have you been keeping track? It took us 3 - 4 months following a m/c to conceive. I don't wan to get your hopes up but it is possible to get a false negative, if you are having any other symptoms appart from missing period you could wait and test again in 7 days if period has not arrived or book an appointment with the gp and ask if they could screen a blood sample for HCG.

It is frustrating when you get asked all the time as well as upsetting if you have experienced m/c.

i got a +ve result 7 days after ovulation, have been getting regular scans so its for sure. try first responce test or check out www. peeonastick.com loads of info on there about hpts HTH and good luck xx
