A friends child was buried today and I am so upset. I am thinking about the little white coffin and his parents sobs constantly. I have little ones of my own and I can't help but think of been in their shoes.
I am heartbroken for them. How will they carry on with life? I don't understand why this happens.

Condolences to everyone here who has experienced a loss.

My mother had to do this many years ago with my older sibling. It is not spoken of and I have no idea how bad it was for her. Reading these posts suggest that it was pretty horrific.

I read expats words and I wonder if its like that for her now (more than 3 decades ago).... I cannot mention it or ask her as Im now programmed to keep my mouth shut on this subject....

sorry to intrude on this thread with these thoughts but it is chilling.

This thread has made me cry. I'm so sorry to all those who have lost a child. I moan a lot on mn and this has made me think that rather than moaning about every day I should cherish each day and be grateful.

A few years ago I went to the funeral of twin girls who had died in an accident- they were buried on their 13th birthday-the sounds of their school friends breaking down when the song by lean rimes-how will I live without you-will stay with me always.
