Lost at 12 weeks baby died at 8 weeks

hiya

just looking on here for some chat and to hear other peoples experiences.
i bled throughout my pregnancy, i collapsed at 7 weeks 4 days and was told baby was fine and the heartbeat was seen. at 12 weeks i bled heavy again and got sent for a scan, baby died at 8 weeks. i am concernec now for infections even though i have been told my m/c was complete i am still bleeding with pain. also im scared of a repeat performance if i fall pregnant again.

desperate2bmum - So sorry to hear of your loss. I had 2 natural mc's and after passing my babies I bled for about 2 wks I think and I also had pain I took it to be my body shrinking back to normal inside, don't know if that was what was happening just my assumption. If this pain for you is a concern either ring the hopistal where you were seen and ask for their advice or ask your gp/mw.

thanks so much fn. i contacted the hospital today and they assured me its normal. sorry to hear you had two, have you got any children at all? i am concerned about infections but im sure my body will tell me if somthing is drastically wrong. this was my first pregnancy so i am new to it all.

Hi desperate2bmum....so sorry to hear you're having a rough time. I went through the same as you and i worried and worried about infection but I was fine....as FN says I think it's your body doing a good job of shrinking back to size.
oh...and I've since had 2 healthy children and no. 3 due any day now. (I don't imagine that will be any comfort to you right now...hope you feel a lot better very soon)

I am so sorry for your loss. This happened to me, thankfuly I went on to have two pregnancies after it with no problems.

Please take great care of yourself and give yourself lots of time. Hugs

you know it can take A LONG time for your uterus to empty after a miscarriage., My ist one was like yours and the despair you feel is truly awful. My doctor said at the time that it should all be over in 2 weeks. I then worried when I was still bleeding after that. It was fine.
If you start feeling hot and shivery go on see a doc. Concentrate now on helping your body to get strong again and your mind to heal as best it can so that you will be ready to give that little soul who is waiting to come to you a lovely womb home. Good luck
