Raising a glass and lighting a candle for all those who couldn't be with us this Christmas

I raise mine for mum who always made Christmas special for me and my brother, we are all thinking and trying to pass on your joy and care to the grandson you sadly missed meeting. You would be so proud of him, and so proud of DB for being such a fantastic uncle.

We love you, we miss you, and we think of you every single day.

For my much loved mother who died in June. Missing you so very much today but revisiting all the wonderful Christmas days we have had in the past for which I am so grateful.

For my lovely nan who I think of every day. My DD and DS would've adored you. Am heartbroken that they never knew you xxxx

For my FIL, beloved Papa to his grandchildren who died 4 weeks ago, Christmas isn't the same without you, and also to my little lost baby miscarried earlier this year who should be two months now.
Gone but not forgotten xxx

For my wonderful sister who we lost two days ago xx

To my darling MIL, she would have loved to have seen how all the DGC have blossomed. And would be heading off to Oz with DFIL to see the latest addition, had she still be here, loving us, caring and cherishing us.

To everyone, thinking about a loved one today, I wish you strength and strong, happy memories.

So sorry to hear it, GetKnitted and everyone who has lost someone. For your sister and for my own, who we lost four years ago. Love her very much and miss her. xx

To my very best friend who died of cancer in June and my beloved baby boy who didn't make it to full term. Love you and miss you both. Xxx

To my Dad and my two brothers, I miss you all. And to ex DP who died of lung cancer last year.

To my dad who died earlier this year. I love you and I miss you so much. Xx

To my darling kind gentle brother who died just over a year ago, too young at 32. I think we're all still in shock to be honest.

I miss my Grandpa. I just really loved him so much. I lived 1,000 miles away so I didn't see him as much as I wanted to, but I called him every Sunday for a chat.

He was like an American version of Onslow from Keeping Up Appearances. :) He was the only person who was resolutely in my corner every day of my life, and I just really miss him. It's been over six years.

couldthisbeit I also lost my DM on December 7th, but 16 years ago.

I still miss her and remember clearly how difficult the first Christmas without her was. Bless her, she'd done all her Christmas shopping and all the gifts were wrapped and labelled. It was so, so sad opening them without her that year. My Dad even sent out the cards she had written because he didn't know what else to do

Dad died two years ago and I miss him so much too.

So many lovely women missing from our family .
Grandma W , a very old lady when she died , my lovely Mum , too young at 61 .
Her Mum , who died ( of a broken heart ) 6 weeks later on December 27 th , all gone in 2001 .
We also miss dear MIL , who we lost in 2002 .
Have lovely candles and flowers for them at Christmas .
