what words are best for a card for friend who has lost a baby?

feel so awful for her and cant imagine how she is feeling but wanted to send a card to know am thinking of her. dont want to put a verse or poem or is that best? want to send love but dont want to express it clumsily?

any thoughts?

I would say exactly what you've said there, its honest and heartfelt and isn't a cliche.

Just let her know you're there for her. Also, put a note in your calendar for next year of the date the baby died, so you can send a card/ring her on the anniversary of their death. Nice to acknowledge the date which would've been their birthday too.
