HI i just want to know peoples experience of these - i am going in for one on thursday after a missed miscarriage.
I know emotionally it is and will be tough, but i am worried about physically. I have never been in to hospital apart from to have dd.
How long will i be in? Is there much bleeding after? Will it hurt? Do i have to rest after it, or can i try to get back to normal?
There are probably lots more questions, but obviously it is impossible to think straight at the moment.

Hi, I just had my EPRC yesterday. The staff were fantastic, really sensitive and kind. There was a lot of waiting around beforehand while you wait for the pre-op drugs to work. This did not help, and I got a bit stressed, thinking about whether I had made the right choice etc. I had never even had an anaesthetic before, so was nervous about that too. But, finally, I was brought in, had the anaesthetic, looked after every second of the way by some fantastic nurses and next thing, I woke up and it was all over. I felt so relieved, I cried! I had some tea and toast and went home. I am resting today, and feeling fine, after some horrible crampy pains during the night, once the hospital drugs wore off. Painkillers work fine though, so make sure you have some by your bedside before you go into hospital, so that they are there and ready for when you need them. I realise now that this was the best choice for me as I am 40 and want to try to conceive again almost immediately. Wish me luck!
