I am not sure if this is the right thread but I am trying to find the right words for a card for a terminally ill person from work.
She has been off sick for sometime but has recently been told that she only has a few weeks to live. A few of us at work would like to send her a card just to say that we are thinking of her. But it everything we think of just sounds so emtie. She is a lovely person. Part of me would like to be a little funny to make her smile but how do you send someone in her situation a card like that. Thanks

Oh gosh, how heartbreaking. But I think this is a lovely idea. How about all of you writing the things you love about her, the things she does/has done which make you feel valued and special. How much you will always remember her. Nice, funny moments you shared.

I'm sure someone else will come up with more original ideas soon. I can't imagine how hard it must be to know you are dying but maybe it would be easier to say goodbye knowing you have made a difference and touched people's hearts.

Blessings to your friend and I hope her passing will be peaceful

How about some notes of things that made you laugh / jokes from in the office. More of a thinking of you and thought this might make you smile card.....
