How long in the Tripp Trapp (or similar...)

Hello....has anyone else used the tripp trap or similar 'grow with you' high chair? What age did your DC stop using it?

The instructions say that you can use then until adulthood, but I am assuming a lot of people don't as I see so many for say on ebay!

With DC2 getting to the stage where he will soon be at the table I was wondering whether to get another one or not...

I was planning to keep them and turn them into chairs as our dining chairs were a treat and I don't think I will be able to buy any more than our 4 chairs! TIA for your thoughts.....

Ds (5) uses his - and complains when MiL sits on it...

We took off the baby set (front bar and strap) when he started to climb in and out - much safer without it - but its great for him doing writing and sticking etc at the kitchen table because it puts him at the right height - so much better than getting into bad habits with writing etc.

My only complaints with it is that it hurts A LOT when you stub your toes on the legs... but he's never pushed it over - probably because we've got a tiled floor so it slides too easily.

Love them. Ours are still in daily use at 6, 7 and 10, and if you are looking for an upper age limit, my mil always sits in one of the girls chairs when she comes over - she's 75.
