best foods to give for diarrhoea and bad nappy rash?

DD is 17mo and is eating ok but has had diarrhoea for several days now. She normally eats a lot of fruit and veg so I'm slightly unsure of what to give her to eat to try to firm up her poos and not aggravate the nappy rash.

Any thoughts?

Presume bananas not a good idea. Gave her rice and scrambled egg earlier as she only ate chips at lunchtime.

Pasta with something?

Bananas, rice, apples, toast are the starting foods when recovering from D&V, so I would say go for those. Also cut out dairy if you can.

Try wiping her bum with olive oil when you change her nappy. That's quite soothing and protects the skin a bit.

I heard that bicarb of soda in the bath water is helpful for nappy rash - but double check!
