Toddler 'playing with himself'

Hi.

DS is 14 months old and has a tendency to play with himself every opportunity he gets. Literally every time his nappy is off (nappy changes, baths etc) he is constantly playing with himself.

All jokes about boys and their toys aside - is this common?

What age is your DS?!? I seem to remember it happening the odd time REALLY young, probably as soon as they had control of their hands at nappy changing time! But that was probably just general bodily exploration in the same way as they play with their feet and stuff.

The doing-it-on-purpose-with-a-fascinated-and-proud-look-on-face was a bit older! Young toddler age I suppose. (can't really recall, I think brain has blocked the trauma out ha ha!)

At least you are prepared now! All normal. Thank god for mumsnet, I say....

He is 20 . Dont think boys really grow out of it ha ha!
