a purple foam toe separator!

Obviously its supposed to be for painting your nails but this is DD's current favourite toy.

She named it London Bridge (because it looks like a picture in her nursery rhyme book) but it does not behave like a bridge-it likes to be fed and tucked into bed and to go for walks. Today I found her bawling her eyes out because one of its arches fell off!

Is anyone else's toddler oddly attached to household objects??

My 13 month old DS has adopted a potato and taken it to bed this evening. Nothing would surprise me these days. DD still is attached to a stick and a stone she found when she was about the same age

my 9 month ds currently favours a plastic tea strainer

Phew she's not the only one then!
She has had pet objects before but this is very persistent. She wakes up every day and goes to look for it to see if it wants breakfast.

Ah no, they all do that - that's the reason they get mad when you throw away anything, it was their 'pet' for the day.

Ironically, get them a real pet and they are not interested in the slightest

My 11 month old is strangley attached to a red brick. She's held on to it for about 2 weeks now.

Oh YES! My daughter aged 9 has had all sorts of pets ranging from a single cotton wool ball called fluffy to a washing up glove called glovey to a mop head at the moment called..you've guessed it..moppy! Never mind the $300 DSi (we live in australia) she loves Clothy the sponge cloth more!! LOL

Another vote for a tea strainer here - DS when he was much younger.
