She said a more accurate prediction will be made when he's 2, but that if he continue as he is, thats what she thinks. Blardy hell.

he'll be fine, MamaG!

the neighbour lady had boy/girl twins, and the boy one was 8 lbs. at birth!

he was five last Friday, and he's 4ft., 3in. tall.

the girl is a shade shorter than DD1, who just turned six and is 4ft., 3in.

their dad is German and tttaaaaallll.

expatinscotland · 02/07/2009 13:04

oh, whyme, dd1 will be taller than me in not too long. i'm 5ft., 4in.

difference is she is built like a giraffe. those legs! she weighs only 3st., 2lb. and believe you me, she does eat.

but 'wee man' is built like a tank.

actually it is quite funny - because we are both average to short when we moved here and DS1 was 11 we just got him a single bed and our old english sheepdog soon got into the habit of sleeping downstairs in the cool basement and on DS1s bed.

Now poor DS1 is a slther under 6 ft ( 5ft and 9/10ths apparently ) the sight that greets me in the morning is quite funny. Sweaty boys head, huge furry dog and great plates of meat sticking out over the bottom of the bed.

I would get him a double but don't want to give wrong message re girlfriend ...

DH says DS is built 'like a brick shithouse'.

my dad calls him 'the linebacker' from American football.

If the double the hight at 2 method works, DS will be 6 feet.

I'm 5'1" and DH is 6 feet.

I would love it if he were tall as I hate being short and I know my brother really hates it. Would be great if I've saved him from being short.

DS is already up to my ribs and at least as tall as all of his 2 year old friends. He was more than a third of my height when he was born. No wonder I was enormous!!

My BIL is 6'5" and my nephew is already taller than me and in bigger shoes at just 11!

A friend of mine is 6'7" and he is expecting a baby 4 days after me with his girlfriend - wonder how tall his LO will end up being?!?

modrin · 02/07/2009 13:17

lol at just under boob level in my case that could be a vast difference between bra on and bra off ...sigh

MiniMarmite · 02/07/2009 13:27

DH is 6' 5'' and I love it! DS is tall too (between 91st and 98th centile @ 10 months) so think he will be tall too (but he might have some of my short arse genes to moderate things a bit - MM shows great ignorance about the genetics of height)!

Reckon I'll be standing on a chair in family photos soon.

bruffin · 02/07/2009 13:27

My DD 11 was always on the small side but has suddenly shot up and is now the same height as me 5'2. DH is 6'2 so I am hoping she will take after him. I come from a family of real shorties

DS is 13 and 5'9 and i assume he has a few years growth still to go.
