..when did it get any better?? Or when did it stop??

Ds2 is 14 weeks old and, although it's better thatn it was he still keeps on bringing up milk. Sometimes during a feed and sometimes in between - so frustrating!!!

Oh yes the vomiting!! DD stopped at 7-8 months once she was well into weaning. Thankfully she hasn't been sicky at all with food! She didn't have reflux either or any pain, we both just needed about 3 changes of clothes a day! And no black clothes for me at that time!

I found sitting her very upright in her bouncy chair for 20 mins after every feed helped a lot, as did burping her about 5 times during the bottle!

Thankfully it's all behind us now and she's had no probs at all with solids! And I use all the muslins for myself, for doing the oil cleansing method!

My DS had reflux - he was in pain a lot as a newborn, until we started on Gaviscon and Ranitidine when he was a few weeks old. The sick I could deal with in comparison to the constant screaming in pain!

Anyhow, I digress, DS grew out of it at 9 months old.

my baby was very sicky, including a fair number of dramatic projectile vomits, i think like CMOTdibbler's ds due to being a bit of a guzzler - sometimes now (10 months) she will feed when not really hungry and yak it back up again. But it's tons better and my enormous pile of muslins is sitting mostly unused now. I think it stopped around the 6/7 month mark.

Yep, I remember baby vom. What infuriated me was that when I told HV/GP they were so patronising - yes dear, all babies posset. DD chucked up so much milk after feeding she soaked me to the skin on many occasions and then was hungry so fed again 30 minutes later. I think I spent the first couple of months glued to the sofa permanently BFing!

scarymama, I had the same experience with ds1. Have vivid memories of having to change his clothes and mine.

Glad I read this thread - was starting to get a bit worried that DS2 is still sicky at 5 months, but seems I should expect a few months more. (DS1 was miraculous never-sick baby)

Purplemonkey - I have a let down somewhere between power shower and fire hose - was strong with first baby but worse with second. I def think this contributes to DS2 basically overeating and then throwing up excess afterwards. I used to take him off just after letdown. V messy but helped a bit. He now copes with it most of the time, so just let him get on with it I'm afraid.

Scarymamma the other thing that annoys me is when HV's say 'he's weight gain is fine so it's not a problem' - well they're not the ones getting continually soaked!! There have been occasions where he's got me so bad it's gone right through to my knickers!!!

DD stopped about 6mths (when she sat up) Ds is now 8.5mths and it is starting to get better.

Sounds like a combination of sitting and solids...
