Trampoline etiquette - one bouncer or more?

I know you are only supposed to let one child bounce at a time on a trampoline but I just wondered how many people enforce this. We've just bought one for our DD (age 5). When her friends come round, I am not sure whether I should let them bounce together or not. Although obviously much safer, it is also rather boring to bounce alone and watch your friend bouncing. What do people think?

Oooh, also, one of the reasons I do allow both of mine on at once, even though I'm not totally happy about it, is because I'm terrified DS wanders underneath it while DD is bouncing! We bought a safety skirt to go round it but it often ends up unfastened as we have to move the trampoline to mow the lawn.

Blotted - good point about sitting on the spring mats, I never thought of that! Will have to rethink that strategy and just do 1 of them on if bouncing. thanks.
