Hi all. My eight year old nephew weighs 50kg. Is that normal? If not please what do we do?

Swimming's a start. Does he walk anywhere? Can your sister send him to post a letter or to the shops to pick up milk? Could he walk to school? Swimming and walking are, imo, the best forms of exercise to start with for someone who doesn't exercise, iyswim.

Does he have a skipping rope? He could do that for hours outside - that's what I did when I was 9 on boring afternoons.

Definitely agree about swimming, often find bigger children can do very well and get a sense of achievement.

i dont know of him doing any sports or any exercise. i know he likes to push his younger sistes in their cars and trikes. but spends more time watchin tv and playstation.

Let's see now - cut down on teh playstation and tv, eat healthier and exercise. Not rocket science for his parents to work out and do something about it.
