Yippppppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

I am happy because for months now everyone has been asking 'Is your DS walking yet?' etc etc and I would reply 'ummmm, he's isn't even standing yet' and then feel bad because I'd get sympathetic looks from them while their baby was running laps round the room at 10 months old or something...

I never worried that he wouldn't get there and I put it down to genes that he'd stand / walk late. Anyway, out of the blue today he finally pulled himself up on some furniture and he looked soooooooooooo proud! But not as proud as mummy and daddy

So for those of you with babies who aren't running marathons yet, they will get there in the end!

Oh I am so with you - my ds is 14 months and has just started pulling himself up - dd was walking by 13 months. I had a really smug mum the other day saying - he is so big isn't he and not walking? like he was some sort of oddity....I just turned to her and said - when you have two children you are not bothered with all this competition stuff - she looked really taken aback
