dd 2yr 2m and was drinking atall tomee tippee beaker of milk at breakfast and bedtime. however in past couple of weeks she pretty much ignores all milk in the morning and will drink about a quarter or half of her usual bedtime milk.

Is she getting enough milk? do 2yr olds usually still drink milk or have they usually given up and i'm molly-coddling her?

yousaidit... i had exactly the same once i stopped milk before bed in a baby bottle.

Now DS hardly drinks any but if you have good all round diet I think its fine.

If you are worried, have you tried pink milk as a novelty?

Goodness, I was still drinking well over a litre of milk a day at 16 - years that is not months!
I'm finding it hard with DS (17 months) to a) get him to take his milk from a beaker - he just loves his bottle and b) get him to cut down on the milk at the end of the day. He's still drinking well over a pint per day - maybe 2 pints if he's teething!

(yousaidit scribbles new shopping list for lots of brightly coloured things to stick in milk, irrelevant dd will bounce off walls all day!)

now, if someone camn magically sort out my other thread...

My toddler is a big milk drinker too, but does eat well as well.

Dentist mentioned taking her soon (she is two) and was uber keen that its milk or water, or at a push fresh fruit juice (but drunk all at once, preferably with a meal).

From his perspective squash is the devils work.

So another vote for milk there then.
