How old were your dc's when you started potty training?

dd Is 18months old, she hates wearing nappies and sometimes when she wees or poos she says bum bum. So I feel she understands that she is going to the toilet.

What signs made you think it is time to potty train? And how old were the dc's at the time?

DD is 18 mo and doesn't know what a poo/wee is yet let alone any awareness of having done one! My mum asked when I was going to potty train her the other day - of course we were all potty trained by about 2 mins old according to her

tumtum - I think children were potty trained much earlier when we were younger, my mum cannot believe that a member of our family is still in nappies aged 3.
