Is anyone else finding that they need to put trillions of blankets over a grobag??

DS has a 2.5 tog + 4 blankets and he's JUST warm - not even toasty! The room says it's 19 degrees!

Without the grobag, he wakes up cold and feels cold to the touch. On his tummy. I don't know how I could be more clear .

We've got DS (5.5 months) in a long sleeved vest, babygro, 1 tog bag and 2 cellular blankets with a jersey cotton blanket over the top in the middle of the night when it feels really chilly. We have our heating on low overnight at the moment because otherwise he's waking up with the cold so his room is 19 degrees. He feels like a block of ice when I bring him into bed for a feed and I think part of the waking up - every 1.5-2 hours - was that he was cold and then wanted a cuddle when he woke to warm up.

ds2 is 12 months and has grobag and blankets or he freezes but my house is v v cold and his room has 2 exterior walls.

he was like an ice cube and waking up when just in the grobag.

its odd though because he was in nicu when born where they wrap them up like nobody's business i've been less stressed about him over-heating than i was with ds1. I am still careful though.

is it an old gro bag? Boy ( 2.8) has an old 2.5 tog and i ts NOT very warm, he likes it in winter, but also has sheet, flece blanket & cellular blanket as well. just wears PJs, no nappy or socks. Boy likes being warm ans snug at night ( as do I)

DD has a cot duvet and her growbag. She certainly doesn't get too hot, and she is in an all in one baby gro too. Quite a bit older at 20 months though. I'd definitely say grobag is not enough in this weather!

Im a big fan of the fleecy all in ones, is he in one of those? DS2 used to wake frequently despite having 2.5tog grobag and a blamket, but now he sleeps well and i only use an extra blanket when it is v cold.

my dd is almost 30 mths & she's in a vest, sleepsuit, 2.5 tog bag + a duvet. Her room has no heating & when I check her, her temperature is fine. She doesn't wiggle when she has the duvet on (probably can't move !)
When she doesn't have a duvet or cellular blanket on top, she sleeps in a 'I'm cold' position, laying on her hands, all scrunched up.

I never did this with DD1, but we lived in a different house then & her room was warm.
