wobbly teeth at what age?

DD is 6 and I noticed she had a wobbly tooth. It seems to have set again though as it isn't even slightly wobbly. She has had loads of falls on her teeth, the 2 front ones are completely wonky from it.

Just wondered at what age do teeth usually start to fall out? There is only one other child in her class (year 1) that hasn't lost a tooth.

I'm not worried about it or anything, just curious really!

DD2 aged 6, Y2 has only just gotten a wobble in her front teeth. Shouldn't worry about it. Once it happens you'll be skint coz your little one will demand the tooth fairy pays up. lol

My DD is very believing. If we told her the tooth fairy was on holiday, she would believe us. Mummy and daddy wouldn't tell fibs now would they!

Out of my eldest three, DDi started losing her teeth in yr2, DD2 in yr1 and then DD3 actually lost her first two before her 5th birthday!!!! She now has her top two adult ones grown thro completely and is still only in yr1, with the two either side wobbling now.

I think it all depends on whether they were early teethers or not....my eldest two got their first teeth at 9mths, yet DD3 sterted at just 4mths, and she is the earliest losing them too.
In contrast, both boys were still toothless on their first b/days, so I guess they will then be later to lose them.

ds was one of the last in his class - lost one at 6 1/2 and another 2 months later. Some of the others had lost their front ones before they were 5.

I thought 6 was normal. My 2 ds's didn't get wobbly teeth till they were 6 and ds1 had to learn a poem that began:
"My friend and I have just turned six and we have wobbly teeth"

Not so sure Happymumof2, ds had his first at just 5 months but only lost them at 6 1/2 ! His adult ones came through before the baby ones fell out so no gaps . He's now 7 (just!) and has only lost the bottom 2 so far, others seem pretty solid.

Just searching my old threads and seen this again, DD still hasn't lost her first tooth, its still wobbly but is still hanging in there! I wonder if it will be out by Christmas!

We have been to something called the Enchanted Garden where they lit up the grounds and had "fairies" dancing to music and other mystical things dotted around. Bumped into DD's friend in the carpark who was very excited as finally her first tooth had fallen out today - just in time for her magical fairy experience. They are in year 2.

At last, she lost her first tooth yesterday. She was really upset as it had a bit of blood on it. She seems okay with the gap now, although she reckons she can't eat on those teeth! Just waiting for the other 2 wobbly teeth to fall out now!

I've been meaning to ask this for ages so thank you for starting the thread!!

DD fell on her bed ages ago and knocked her front teeth a bit loose. She forgot about it and left them alone but since seeing an episode of Charlie and Lola where Lola eats an apple and her tooth falls outr she is constantly asking for apples so it will fall out and walks around wobbling it.... she's only 4.3 though so I think it's a bit early for her to start pulling them out!!

If she makes it come out before its ready to, it will bleed and might scare her. Also it will be a long time until the new one grows.

DD's top front teeth are still wobbly from over a year ago, they still haven't fallen out. As soon as I told DD that if she wobbles the tooth, it might bleed, she soon stopped!

The dentist did say after DD's tooth was knocked loose that if it discoloured and remained loose, she would have to have it removed. Her tooth set a bit and didn't go grey. Hope your DD either stops trying to make it come out, or it comes out quickly by itself!

My dd has just started at age 6.5, but one child lost hers at playgroup(about age 4yrs!).

I'm trying my best to make her leave it alone - 'but Lola's came out when she ate an apple so why can't mine?' Maybe a bit of a blood story will do the trick!!! She keeps saying she wants it to come out so she can see what shape it is - strange child!!

ds (nearly 7) has been shedding like a snake since a week before his 5th birthday - spent about six months with nothing at all to bite with - now has all of his adult incisors.

dd (5 and a half) not even a wobble, and her extra-unusually-tiny baby teeth are starting to look a bit odd.

Can I just massively butt in and say I recently met a 1 day old baby that was born with a tooth. Bottom front and it looked SO weird. It was all long and witchyfied looking! She was on way to have it taken out at hospital in cast she, the baby, err obviouisly (sorry bit merry) choked on it.
