Don't tell your 4.6yo that one day his teeth will get wobbly and fall out to make way for his new big teeth.

Just don't.

PMSL Colditz!

It is a peculiar idea though, isn't it?!

dd1 (4yo) asked for earrings on the very same day she was having her pre-school jab. I said that she should wait until she had this done before asking me again as it was quite similar to having ears pierced.

Once the nurse had finished with her legs, she covered her ears and wailed "I don't want her to give me earrings"

Poor thing.

get DC to watch the charlie and lola episode about this - "my wobbly tooth must never ever fall out". My DD (4) now can't wait for her teeth to fall out!

at knocking teeth out in playground....

I'm OK about DD1s tooth because I know we can get her teeth capped in time. DD1 is very upset though, one of her bottom teeth has come through discoloured - probably due to horrible illness with v. high prolonged fever, tons of ABs and a nice healthy dose of radiation (which, if nothing else, knocks ones PFB Haribo-fear on it's arse). [weak]).

Don't tell him (as my DS's friend did) that if you lose the tooth and therefore can't leave it out for the tooth fairy, she is so cross that she kills you.

Your poor DD. Does she have to wait before getting the tooth capped? My friend has two DCs, her DD has chipped her milk teeth twice and her 14yo DS just chipped his front tooth recently. Her dentist did ask what she was doing with her children.
