WTF do you say when your 2.7dd asks if she can have a tattoo??

DP has 2 tattoos on his arms and has been talking to dd about this as she noticed them when she was in the bath with him

Anyway last night she pointed to a mole on my leg and asked if it was a tattoo. I told her no

She then asked if she could have a tattoo

I was gobsmacked....told her "no and that they where horrible"

Was that the right thing to say?

Any other advice

Please please please promise me she wont go out and get one when she is a teenager

I like the felt tip pen suggestion. But just be careful which colours you offer. I lose count of the number of looks I get from strangers at the mahoosive "bruises" sported by my companions...
