Pointing - when did yours?

DS is one and not pointing yet. I know he still has a while but was just curious as to when your DC's first pointed?

DS was 10 months but still doesn't wave now and he's 13 months! It will come in time!

Hand flapping is not part of the criteria used to diagnose ASD. Although it's observed in some children with ASD it is not afaik, a red flag. My dd was diagnosed as severely autistic aged just 3 and she never hand flapped, although she had other stims.

Oh - I take it back - ds2 pointed at something this morning!!

Well, sort of...mind you I have been intensively pointing at everything since about 5pm yesterday. Ha ha.

Lol Fllllight! Oh I really hope he will just do these things all of a sudden like some of yours have. I hope its soon because every time I see him do something that concerns me (hand flapping, banging head with fist) I literally get a cold shiver down my spine and my heart feels like its stopping! I know its too early to have him checked aaargh!
