my 9 year hold has develeoped a desire to were thongs because of a sort of peer-pressure, however i think she is to young for that sort of thing. what is the point? she says her ordinary knickers are too unconfortable. she already has started puberty, is that something to do with it?

Tigermoth, I would suggest that would be a gross invasion of privacy. Would you want your underwear checked at work???

Not terribly relevant, but when I was a student the nurses at the Royal Free were forced to wear tights rather than stockings under their uniforms in case of 'perineal fallout' as described graphically by the little Hitler in charge of infection control!
Wouldn't let any daughter of mine wear a thong until she was old enough to buy and wash it (them?) herself!

I've heard that but thought it was urban myth!
