Balancing work and bonding with my baby in the early months

I am a new mother and been in this phase since past couple of months. I do not know much about kids, parenting etc so would like to discuss it here so if there are any advices so we can seek help.
As my baby is just a few months old, he asks for attention but my work and job keeps me occupied that I am not able to concentrate on him. At the same time I am worried if that might impact him negatively, the bond of mother son could weaken or his upbringing could be affected. I need suggestions on how can I balance my personal and work life?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I’m sorry that you’re worried about those @TheNewFinch. How many hours a week are you working and does someone else mind the baby if you are working?

Where do you live? Have you got any further maternity leave entitlement?

Trying to work and mind a baby is very demanding. I think you need to assess what you can do to avoid the situation. Do you need childcare?

First, I would educate yourself a bit about parenting. There are different approaches, and it can also help you organize your daily life better.
Without knowing all the details, it’s not easy to recommend specific things, but some good first steps could be setting up simple routines. For example, you could play together for 5 minutes every day before bath time, or read a bedtime story. The important thing is that it becomes part of the daily routine.
I would also try to have even 5 minutes of one-on-one time every day, doing something you both enjoy.
It’s not really about how much time you spend together, but about the quality of that time and having predictable routines, which children often need the most.
