Light at the end of the tunnel

Hi everyone, looking for some hope here 🙏🏻 my son turns 3 in October and he’s going through a really bad stage. He’s hitting, biting, throwing his toys at us, pulling our hair and scratching. He’s even started to scratch his nursery teachers. It’s draining dealing with this every day. Every single article I read says this is normal behaviour and to just stay calm when he does this. It’s very stressful 😩 has anyone experienced this? And have their children come out the other side and at what age? At my wits end here 😔

How is his language and understanding?
My son absolutely terrorised his classmates in nursery (not proud of it! 😅) and struggled a bit when he first started primary school. However, he’s just finished Reception and his behaviour has improved vastly. He’s doing really well academically too, which we’re so pleased about.
He does have a behaviour plan in place, which was originally put in place at nursery and then followed him into primary school.

Have Nursery spotted any triggers like hunger, being overtired lr needing the loo?

How does he do on this simple progress checker?

His language and understanding is coming on well. He’s quite emotional and I think maybe he hasn’t got the words to express everything he wants to say just yet and it’s frustrating him. Everyone says it’s normal but it’s happening too much now to just ignore and let the phase pass. We have a meeting on Monday in nursery to put a behaviour plan in place. Did you notice much of a difference with that?

The nursery hasn’t given me any triggers yet, they said that’s what we’re going to work on together. I really hope it works 🙏🏻 I’ll try that tracker now, thank you

As a mother of a 13 year old I can only don't let it drain and stress you. There is no light at the end of the tunnel i can see yet just a whole different range of problems. You will look back and think of this as not a not a big deal in the end
