Probably not very MN, but:

From age 2ish to age 3ish, dd got dressed nearly every day in front of her post-breakfast, pre-preschool CBeebies. I had no arguments about clothes, it took five minutes, and as she got older and more naturally interested in clothes it changed without a murmur.

At 4.5 she's perfectly happy to dress in her room, herself, before coming downstairs, so seemingly unharmed by my lazy mothering

ps whenever I had no time for or access to CBeebies, I would distract by telling her a story myself whilst dressing her - a very dramatic one, usually, wiht sudden 'and do you KNOW what she did next?' type exclamations whenever I spotted resistance looming
