should I be worried my 10 month old isn’t crawling yet
he engages , smiles , laughs plays peek a boo
sits well unsupported, eats well , uses pincer grip, transfers toys and babbles.
he tries to move like reaches for things , kind of pivots and leans forward and half bends his legs under but can’t quite get into all fours yet
he loves standing with our support and can weight bear equally but when lying down he can’t sit up from lying down without our guidance
in worried there is something wrong but he seems to be making progress but is this a bit behind ??

Totally normal. Mine didn't crawl at all, went straight from sitting to cruising along the furniture.

Nope not all baby's crawl.

My first was quick to crawl but no interest in walking, could crawl much faster than they could walk. Didn't walk until about 14mth

The other was a cruiser, round the furniture, once he was walking properly he'd get into the middle of the floor and fall down, then learned to crawl back to the couch to pull himself backup.

They all get there in their own time

I can't remember when they mastered sitting up from lying down.

I think my oldest was more likely to roll over and crawl. My youngest never really sat, he wanted to be on his feet. So could get from lying down to upright, using couch, table, radiator, cot bars but not sit.
I have a feeling sitting is a hard position for them to get into.

Do you go to any baby groups, or book bug in the library?
It can be massively helpful to see other babies around the same age and see them all developing differently.

Mine could move, but not utter a sound. Friends baby was babbling and clapping hands, but couldn't move.

They are teens now the crawller one doesn't move but shouts a lot on the Xbox, the babbler dances beautifully and is incredibly quiet.

Your baby 👶 will get their in their own time

My 9 month old is the same. Sits well, but can’t get himself into sitting position. Reaches for toys and starts to get into crawling position but can’t hold he’s weight and ends up on his tummy.
But he loves standing, holding our hands and walking and cruising along furniture. I’m not at all worried.
My first son didn’t crawl at all. At 9 months he was walking independently. He’s 3 now and perfectly normal. You’d never know out of him and his nursery friends which ones crawled / didn’t crawl / walked early or late.
They all develop in their own way and at their own pace.
I think if he wasn’t showing any signs of wanting to move - not reaching for things or bearing weight in his legs when standing - then you should worry.
But, based off of my experience with my own kids, your son sounds very normal! Just keep encouraging different types of movement.
