My Dd is 12 and attending a weekend theatre group . We are looking at possible ND diagnosis . She’s adopted and her birth family have diagnoses of a genetic condition that include asd .
the theatre teacher has approached me to say our dd is using behaviour that is upsetting other students , not aggressive but wanting things done her way and sulking if not . This has made a few students cry and not want to work with our dd .
I shared that I was aware of our dd behaviour and possible ND but not diagnosed . She then said they don’t allow children with asd into the theatre school due to insurance and change in the education act . ? I can’t find anything about this change ???
anyone able to help
and yes I’m looking at other theatre groups
thznkyou

How bloody upsetting for you and your DD. I have no idea on the law though sorry.

Maybe if you post in SN Chat you’ll get some responses in there? Flowers

'our dd is using behaviour that is upsetting other students , not aggressive but wanting things done her way and sulking if not . This has made a few students cry and not want to work with our dd .'

I'd assume this is the main reason OP - it would be helpful to find out more? How is she in school, with friends etc?
