15 month old flinging toys/objects over his shoulder?

Is this normal?!

He’s done it for months now. It’s not that he’s dropping items by putting his hand out and letting go, but instead he is literally flinging everything within reach over his shoulder. Such as bricks, Duplo etc. Grab and fling, grab and fling.

I’ve honestly never seen another baby do this. Anyone else?!

Anyone?

Even if something catches his interest for a few moments, once he’s finished with it, it goes over his shoulder.

Do you think it sounds like a normal form of play?!

Not sure if I’m honest. Is it just this obe thing that you’re concerned about? Smile

Mine used to do this, still does sometimes at 3.5. does he look at what he's thrown at all? Look up trajectory schema.

derek89 · 12/02/2026 14:45

No, he doesn’t look back at the items…
