When DS was 6-9 months old or thereabouts, we had to do regular intercity train journeys. He used to love it. He’d often nod off on the first, local train, then wake up at some point on the intercity train and would be very chilled looking out of the window and smiling at everyone.
However, we’ve been on the same local train a couple of times in the last month or so and he is getting very distressed, immediately. He’s sobbing, and inconsolable. Even boob doesn’t help. He doesn’t calm down until we have got off the train.
What could be causing him such distress all of a sudden, especially when he used to like it?
He’s fine with the hairdryer and hand driers and so one. He’s normally quite a chilled out little chap so that makes his upset even more distressing.
Has anyone been in this situation and can advise please?
