Is it OK to go back to nigh time nappies?

my five year old took forever to come out of nappies at night. We are only about a month into ditching them, and all of a sudden she’s wet the bed three nights in a row.

She doesn’t actually wake up herself to go to the toilet, we take her ourselves just before we go to sleep.

The amount of washing this is producing, and waiting for it to all dry at this time of year is far from ideal.

My wife/her mum is going away on a 10 day trip, in a few days, which will be the longest they’ve been apart. I know this will obviously affect my daughter.

Part of me wants to go back to nappies, temporarily, but do people think (in their experience) that this could make it worse/drag it out, in the long run?

Depends on how your DD feels? She may not want to. Were you using nappies or pull-ups?

Plenty of children are not yet dry at night at 5 – and if you're having to wake her for a wee before you go to sleep, it suggests DD wasn't really ready to be night dry. There's a strong hormonal component, so if she still needs a wee in the night and she's not waking for it, there's not much she (or you) can do about it. Would DD be very unhappy about going back to nappies/pull-ups?
