I'm filling out the doctor's ADHD referral form??

Hi all!

I'm in Northern Ireland which may mean it's done differently here but... I have had my son's ADHD referral refused twice so far, last year because he was too young, and this year because the rather patronising doctor filled out the wrong form, or the right one incorrectly. I got two forms sent back to me, one for the school and one for the doctor. I left the doctor's one in and asked them to contact me for any details needed, but at this point I'd had two consultations with two doctors and I thought they'd have the info on his file. Two weeks later, I got a call from the receptionist telling me that I'd left a blank form in, the doctor can't fill it all in and doesn't have the time or resources to call me or have me come in for an appointment. I hadn't filled anything out because it is a referral form from the doctor, not me! So I had to collect it and fill it out, but I don't know how much of it to do, or if I go back to the doctor are they going to send me away again! Has anyone else had to do this? Thanks

Sorry I’ve not had an experience like that. Jist wondering how old your DS is if the application has been refused once because of age?

He is 6, they won't assess them under 6 but we thought they might at least put him on the waiting list as it will take a couple of years, but apparently not!
