Over the past few months my (just turned 6 year old) has transformed from angelic to demonic. We never had terrible 2,3 etc… he’s always been so kind and respectful. His behaviour at school is still good, but at home it explodes. He seems worse with mum than he is me, but he tells us to shut up a lot, ignoring rules he used to follow (eg restaurant ettiquate) and if he doesn’t like what we’re asking he will say ‘I’m not listening’ and just stare into space as if there’s no-one home… we’ve tried soft, understanding and talking. We’ve tried telling offs, we’ve tried confiscation

nothing seems to work…

is this normal for a 6 year old or have we got ourselves a Damien!?

Has anything happened? Did he have an illness or a sore throat before this started?

No, nothing of the sort. If anything it got worse when we took him on holiday to France! :( he wasn’t mixing with other kids or being influenced at all

It’s difficult of ots only befn a few months and you can’t link the change to an illness.

Has anything changed in his life that might give a clue?
