Screen time for 9-18 month olds: What's your experience and what works?

Hey mommas,
My little one is in the 9-18 month range, and we're navigating screen time. We try to keep it minimal, but life happens (video calls, quick distractions).
I worry about how even a little bit affects their attention or development at this age.
What's your experience been like with screen time for your little ones? Did you notice any impacts, positive or negative?
And if you do allow some, what shows or apps do you find actually helpful or less "zombie-fying" and "Brainrot" for their development?
Any advice or shared experiences are appreciated!

Some days we have no screentime, some days half an hour. My daughter spends time at grandparents that have the TV on a lot and I do notice that her attention span is lower in the evening after spending the day there.

No screening at that age

Except to video call grandparents via the TV

Honestly when they're 6 you'll realise it wasn't necessary at all

Screen time not screening whoops

I don't think my twins had any screen time before they were 2. I could be wrong, though, as it feels like a lifetime ago.
A Mum friend of mine used to stick Little Baby Bum and Cocomelon on, the latter being awful!
