Hi I’m looking for advice (no judgment please)
my DD is 5 and in the last week has really started playing up. She’s stealing/hiding things around the house, she tends to lie about a lot of thing too. She’s urinated in my bed and my son’s bed on purpose and when asking her why she said the 'alien' told her to do it.
ive sat down and tried to explain that we don’t do this calmly but she just finds it funny.
Ive spoke to the school about her behaviour at school and they’ve said there are no problems.
im stuck with what to do so any help or advise is appreciated.

Have you had any other concerns before now @Lberny95or is the bed wetting the first thing?

How old is she exactly? If she’s between 5 and 5 and a half you could fill out the 60 month Ages & Stages avd see if that shows up any concerns. It’s pretty normal for a child to score grey in a couple of areas, anymore than that, or if she scores Blavk in any area, then i would come back for done advice on what to do next.

I would also do the 60 month Social & Emotional Ages & Stages. You can do that one up to age 6. Let us know how she scores on this one.

I think it’s also worth doing this very quick progress checker. If it says she needs some support you’ll need to either ask the GP for a hearing test and a referral to SaLT or ask the school SENCO of they can refer.

I think it’s also worth talking to your local School Nurse Service and asking for some advice, particularly on the deliberate damage Flowers
