My almost 2 year old won’t eat her meals HELP!

My almost 2 year old keeps ripping up all her food that I offer her into little pieces and doesn’t eat it. It’s been like this for 2 weeks so far. Has anyone else been in a similar situation? It’s so frustrating 😩

I can understand that it’s frustrating. Do they have any teeth coming through?

So what is she eating? Presumably she must be having some form of food or milk? Do you know what triggered it? Has she been poorly? Could it be the heat? Teeth? Or just a new fun phase of toddlerhood.

I would pop her meal down in front of her, include things on the plate that you know she really likes, don’t make a fuss or try to cajole her into eating, just eat your own meal alongside her. Don’t make it into a bottle. After a reasonable time take the meal away again with no comment and do the same at each meal. Your job is to offer the food.

I know it’s frustrating and you worry but it is quite common for toddlers to get funny with food.
