If eight month old still hates tummy time, how will he learn to crawl?! 🤷🏻

DS is 8.5 months old and has always absolutely hated being on his tummy. He’s rolled from back to front about ten times in his life, and once he’s there you get about a minute or two before he gets sooooo upset and cries.

I’m just wondering how the heck he’s going to learn to crawl if he abhors being on his front?

He is a champ at sitting upright which does confuse me as I thought this skill came afterwards!

My DD HATED being on her tummy due to reflux. She only learned to roll back to front at 8.5 months and was the same as your DS. But she did crawl at 10.5 months, she army crawled for about a month which I was surprised at as she was on her tummy! He’ll get there ☺️

I’d love to know too, my son never crawled and just bum shuffled then stood up and walked. But he rolled at 4 months.

my second also hates tummy time, is almost 6 months and still not rolled. I’m really interested to see if she will crawl or just go straight to walking
