Blew her nose for the first time!!!!
She is 22 months old, has a runny nose and when I said blow, she did it, exactly as she should.

know, its not much, but, for some reason I was sooooo proud [proud mummy emoticon].

This should be in G&T, Pavlov

(Nose-blowing is a very important skill and 22 months is very early to be able to do it - clever little kitten!)

LilRedWG · 18/05/2008 11:55

LOL - I know how you feel! I'm just as soppy.

fransmom · 18/05/2008 11:58

i felt the same too

tech we need a proud parent emoticon!!!

2point4kids · 18/05/2008 11:58

Good girl!

It is a very important skill you know. I remember when my brother was younger and he put a button up his nose (as you do). My Mum said 'BLOW' and he sniffed, so off to A&E we all had to go!

Pavlovthecat · 18/05/2008 11:59

In fact, I am so proud her development, I am going list all the small things that she been doing over the last few days for the first time that keeps making me gush.

Add you own, if you want to join the boring proud mummy thread!

*starting saying anku when we pass her something she has asked for, drink or toy.
*says nuvu after asking for a cuddle
*holds my hand and takes me on a 'walk'
*can tell me she has taken a poo
*can say a few 3 word sentences
*tells her bears off when they dont behave
*says yeah to everything we ask if she wants it, or if we ask if she is ok (if she falls over or something)
*tells daddy off when he drops crumbs on the floor 'oh daddy mess'!

I love this age

my proud PFB (DS) is 21 months - today I was reading him to sleep for his nap and stopped reading as he was dozing off and he opened his eyes and held up his pointer finger and said "One more please Mama"

awwww!!!

You are RIGHT to be proud of your DD! She sounds like a little gem! My DH still cant blow his nose.

Pavlovthecat · 18/05/2008 12:08

Beeny - happy 21 month birthday baby Beeny! and he is still napping. DD has started the confusing and tiring process of losing her naps. LOL at your DH!

dd had her first dry night last night

Pavlovthecat · 18/05/2008 12:11

How old is she fransmom? Dry nights are an important milestone too arent they?

fransmom · 18/05/2008 12:14

hi pavlov!!! where you been? she is 3 and it was only her 3rd night without nappies

it was me waiting for a dry nappy before i thought ahe would be ready to go without but i just gritted my teeth and talked to her about it and she agreed and accepted it. not much sleep for me tho , thought had got rid of that bugbear after teething and colic lol hows little pc?xxx

Pavlovthecat · 18/05/2008 12:17

I thought she was, but I did not want to say it and find out I am living in another world and she is like 18 months!!!
Baby pc is just absolutely adorable. Apart from sleeping like hell, she is chatting constantly, has opinions about everything is quite bossy (dont know where that comes from ) and is just well, by this thread you can see she makes me gooey most days, no in fact all days.

She is becoming much more of a handful now though, She loves destroying things!

I will mourn eternally when DS drops his nap!

fransmom · 18/05/2008 12:31

what til she gets to dd's age and starts saying that you can't tell me off for that if you say it! needless to say, i am now very careful what i say and sometimes she asks me if a certian word is a "good word" or a "naughty word"!

MeMySonAndI · 18/05/2008 12:32

I would be proud too, mine is 5 years old and still doesn't get the gist of it.

Nbg · 18/05/2008 12:36

Awww, my ds1 is 21 months, can only say Car, Poo, yeah and is only happy is he is being mischeivous or climbing.

ladytophamhatt · 18/05/2008 12:46

my PFB has been an annoying, argumentative, rude all day so far.

He's 9 though.....
