11 year old girl struggling

Just looking for alittle advice . My 11 year old girl has starting acting out at school and they have noticed a change in her the past couple of weeks . She’s being tested for dyslexia, but the school aren’t convinced as apparently kids show signs before this age .
she said to me 3 years ago that words at school would go weird when she was looking at books etc so I took her for an eye test and was told her eye sight was perfect .
she has been telling her teacher that she feels overwhelmed when doing work and acting out so she doesn’t have to do it .
im just so worried and looking to see if anyone has any advice or has been in a similar situation . Thanks in advance.

The test for dyslexia is not generally a very long process but it’s been going on for some time?

What is her behaviour like when she is “acting out”

Thank you for your reply . My daughter has told me that the words on paper have been going wiggly for about 3 years but I presume it’s maybe been longer as it might be difficult for her to remember much before then . I would say her behaviour is more frustrated she told her teacher he’s not teaching her in away she understands and told him she was leaving the classroom as she was overwhelmed

Hi Lynniepin

Please consider researching Schoolvision for your daughter's reading problem.

There is a website https://www.sportvision.co.uk/schoolvision/home.aspx

Not all opticians offer this service, but the one I work for in Milton Keynes does. This is a link to information about Schoolvision: https://www.dwroberts.co.uk/specialist-services/#SchoolVision

Please call for advice.

Good luck.
