Two granddaughters. The older one aged 8 is slightly below average in school and receives extra help. The younger one, 6, is extremely bright. How to encourage the elder one, suggestions please

Encourage her in what way @princessperky? I have one that is bright academically and one who is intelligent but just not in the same way.

We've always encouraged them to find places they are happy like Scouts or Cricket and focus on the effort rather than the achievement.
